For the best results in brewing, the CIP system and Brewer's System are necessary. It is not sufficient to simply have the right grain, water, hops, and yeast. There are special additions that will enhance flavor, aroma, and the overall quality of the final beer. These additions help your brewer succeed beyond your wildest dreams.

With the CIP you also get a line filter and a slow flow pump. You should put the pump in the cellar because it will generate very little pressure, thus giving your home brewer more control over the beer. A CIP is usually constructed of stainless steel tubing. When a batch is created from the filtered grain, the pump releases a small amount of pressure into the fermenter. This prevents a souring agent known as lactic acid from forming. The pump has a regulator that tells the operator when to turn it on. If the operator does not turn it on, the pressure inside the pump is low, and the end result is a high concentration of lactic acid.

Some of the best attributes of the CIP are its ability to ensure the perfect balance of sugar and acid. This control is known as temperature compensation. It will also remove any astringency from the hops. And, the CIP is virtually maintenance free. It only requires the occasional inspection and cleaning. With the additional features of the Brewer's System, you can brew almost anything imaginable.
